The topic solutions to bring music/sound to all the rooms in your house with wireless technology (wireless connections, speakers, etc). We assume that you have 5 rooms in your house that need to be equipped with sound technology. Further, the system should have a central control unit of some sort.

STEPS TO SETUP THE MUSIC/SOUND IN YOUR HOUSE
  • Place the front speakers. Bose recommends placing the front speakers an equal distance on either side of your television screen. Try to keep the speakers as close to the screen as possible, but also try to keep at least 3 feet between the front speakers.
    Add the Dos and Don't for the placement of the speakers.

DO’s: 1. pointing the speakers toward each other 2. pointing the speakers toward your viewing area 3. pointing the speakers toward the wall (for some speakers, this actually improves the sound's quality) 4. put the speakers lower than your viewing area, and point them toward the ceiling (bounces the sound off the ceiling and back to the viewing area.

DONT’S: 1. Do not place the speakers directly on the floor, or the sound becomes muffled (Purchase a mount/box to place the speakers)


  • Attach speaker cables. If you have one of the Bose wireless systems, you can skip this step and the messy tangle of wires in your home theater.


  • Make connections to the video system. Match the colors, and make sure that the audio output from the video system goes to the inputs of your Bose power amplifier.
  • Power up the system. Make sure that you have set the volume to its lowest level before turning on the power.
